Lewis was nominated for four consecutive Young Artist Awards for his performance. However, as he grew older, he became tired of playing a character much younger than himself. The program ended in 1989 with an unconventional final episode that featured Webster going on an adventure aboard the Starship Enterprise from “Star Trek.”
